Fly Screens
Our range of Insect Screen Doors and Windows are effective at keeping out insects and pests while maintaining good airflow. We can fit to any size door or window and have excellent privacy and paw-proof solutions too.

Case Study: Otorohanga Kiwi House
The Otorohanga Kiwi House is a native bird park with a large range of species requiring specialist enclosures built for their protection. We were thrilled to work with Waikato Security Doors to build our latest enclosure.
The team were quick to respond to our enquiry and flexible enough to adapt their door designs to meet our needs. This enclosure required doors fitted to existing steel frames so Waikato Security Doors measured them onsite. They also had to be completely pest proof to keep out rodents and other unfriendly species, not to mention tough enough to keep out anyone trying to break in. The doors were also designed to withstand attack from the inside from kea/kaka beaks and feet. Waikato Security Doors understood this and made it happen! The doors installed fit beautifully, look stunning, and are easy to keep clean. Thanks for helping us keep our enclosure safe and secure! We have some very happy Morepork Owls currently living safely in this space. We will be using Waikato Security Doors to help us with future enclosures and buildings and highly recommend them to anyone else!

Do you have security doors in stock?
No. Every security door is custom made to suit your home's exact measurements and joinery colour. We recommend booking your free measure and quote early, especially if you're planning ahead for summer as manufacturing and powder coating take time. Calling during winter or early spring can help ensure your doors are ready when you need them.
What are the expected timeline from ordering to installation?
This Changes throughout the year due to seasonal demand but we will always try get your order to you faster if possible

April - August 4 to 6 Weeks
Will my door/screen colour match my current joinery?
Yes, when we do onsite measure we will do a colour match to make sure we powder coat your order to the colour of your current joinery. Also you can choose a different colour if you would like.

What is an Xcluder security door?
An Xcluder Security Door is a premium security screen made from high-tensile 316 marine-grade stainless steel mesh set within a strong aluminium frame. It offers superior security, excellent corrosion resistance, unobstructed views, and outstanding airflow, making it ideal for New Zealand homes, including coastal areas.
Compared to a standard Diamond Grille Security Door, the Xcluder has a sleek, modern appearance with a clear view through the stainless steel mesh, while the Diamond Grille features a traditional aluminium grille pattern. Both provide security and insect protection, but the Xcluder offers a higher level of security, a more contemporary look, and less obstruction to your view.
